Does our country constantly contradict itself?

Extreme Christians

Those that are on the side of not having church and state separated are usually those that are known as radical or extreme Christians. They usually want total control over the government. When I say "total control" I mean that they want our country to basically have a regulated religion and that religion would be Christianity. They are known for their crazy preachings and look down on the conservative Christians which do not do things that they do. Their stances on many of the issues such as gay marriage and abortion are all on the opposing side of the issue. When it comes to separation of church and state, they are very strong in their beliefs and often think that the way America is now will make us as a country "doomed to hell". When I think about these people, as a Christian myself, I'm in dis-belief about their stance and many of the things they preach about.

Who on earth are you referring to??? the only Christian i can think of who suits this profile is Brother Micah, and i'm pretty sure that he is just one man, not a whole category of Christian believers.

I'm referring to those christians who go around saying that they may hate gays. These people can be seen at different places. I have seen them personally on our campus preaching about how everyone is "going to hell." There was also the Phlep Family that appeared on the Tyra show that said some outlandish things about people's fate when they die.

as anonymous wrote....i am somewhat confused by "whom" you're referencing.

If you believe in GOD - GOD teaches one thing. Marriage is not between man/man or woman/woman. It is between Man & Woman anything other than that is in opposition to GOD principles. There isn't any "gray" area.

Do we(Christians) continue to turn a blind eye to the risk society is taking with morals and ethical behavior.

We have teachers in school who do not respect the role they've taken on "to teach"...instead they have sex with the students and somehow beleive that everyone is suppose to look the other way.

We have kids bringing guns to school,...

God gives us free choice...so how long do we(Christians)comply with the status quo or secular world and conform to their beliefs and standards without any thought of the consequences.

GOD does not change and HE does not instruct us to go along with things that we know are morally and ethically wrong

Aren't there always extremes on both sides of every situation? I am sure that there is an equal and opposite oppising group to the extreme Christians that will balance it out. I think that post needed to be a little more specific so the readers could understand it better but an interesting post nonetheless.
